ASSOCIATION FOR DEVELOPMENT OF RURAL COMMUNITIES (ADRC)

Provides life skills and leadership development training to youth, particularly in underserved areas like Kibera, Nairobi, focusing on personal skill development and engagement with community issues and values. Reached 7,134 individuals with life skills training.

Trains youth in entrepreneurship and provides business development support services, including management training, ICT integration, value addition, and market linkages, leading to the creation and expansion of youth-led enterprises. Supported the creation of 726 youth-led enterprises and trained 8,575 youth in entrepreneurship.

Uses a market-driven, sustainable social enterprise model to support rural projects and enterprises, promoting long-term economic development and self-reliance.

Implements a project to improve the sustainability and profitability of Boda boda (motorcycle transport) enterprises in Homa Bay County, Nairobi, Nyeri, and Kwale, using a market-driven, social enterprise model.

Works with rural communities to scale up afforestation and reforestation efforts to increase tree cover and enhance carbon sinks, contributing to environmental sustainability and climate resilience.

Implements water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) programs in Makueni, Machakos, and Kitui counties to improve access to clean drinkable water for school-going children, reaching 120,000 children through these initiatives.
