ELIMU FANAKA INITIATIVE (EFI)

Provides libraries and technology facilities to rural public primary schools in Kenya to improve academic performance, and supports these libraries as safe spaces for learning and imagination. This includes distributing books to schools.

Operates "Klub Ujuzi," a children's table banking and mental health & wellness club for youth aged 10-14 (grades 4-8) in rural public primary schools, training them on income-generating activities and supporting mental health.

Operates the NAWIRI program, which includes a storytelling component using creative mediums like music, dance, art, and poetry to improve access to high-quality education and support mental wellness. It also runs a literacy program focused on strengthening reading and writing skills and promoting a reading culture, and a leadership development program that supports learners with life skills, practical skills, and mental well-being education.

Enrolls learners and teachers in technology courses and provides virtual leadership development training for teachers.

Conducts the IMARISHA capacity strengthening program that engages parents, teachers, and community members in trainings for economic and professional development to holistically support learners.
