KENYA CONNECT (KC)

Distributes reusable sanitary pad kits to girls through the Wings Poa program to reduce absenteeism and provides solar lights to students. The organization also conducts comprehensive eye screenings, general health check-ups, and distributes eyeglasses to students.

Operates a mobile school library program serving 47 partner schools, maintains a library collection of 54,939 books, and reaches 400,000 listeners through a Radio Read Aloud program. The organization also runs LitClubs and a Reading Challenge program for primary school students.

Operates a makerspace that provides educational and recreational learning activities during weekends and school breaks.

Provides foundational literacy training for pre-primary through Grade 3 teachers, conducts Professional Learning Community sessions, and engages teachers in Arts Integration Wolf Trap Workshops and the Teach 2030 program. The organization also offers technology professional development for teachers.

Installs water tanks and handwashing stations at partner schools to improve access to clean water and hygiene. The organization also installs composting toilets to enhance sanitation and environmental sustainability.

Operates a "Computers in the Classroom" program, initiated 47 code clubs at partner schools, and offers STEM Boot Camps during school breaks. The organization also provides interactive educational content via "Tablets in the Classroom" and has teams that won the World Robotics Olympiad in Kenya.

Invites over 4,000 parents annually to participate in mobilization events focused on literacy, empowerment, and early learning.

Offers workforce development opportunities, including advanced design training or internships, for students after graduation. The organization is also launching a mentor series to connect secondary school students with Kenyan professionals for career discussions.
