UPLIFTING MEN AND YOUTH IN AFRICA

Drives the operationalization of Kenya's Protection Against Domestic Violence Act by developing supporting regulations, training duty bearers, and raising awareness among rights holders, while also equipping men and boys to challenge violent masculinities and advocate for survivors.

Mobilizes men in Nairobi, Isiolo, Kericho, and Homa Bay to advocate for a Kenya free from gender-based violence, collaborating with various partners nationwide to deconstruct harmful gender norms and build a more equitable society.

Trains and deploys male champions to promote GBV prevention and integrate reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health messaging in Isiolo County, and engages men and boys as frontline advocates in Bomet and Kericho Counties to create safer, violence-free environments for women and girls in tea-growing communities.

Trains male duty bearers and community leaders to strengthen the implementation of protective laws and improve access to justice and protection for GBV survivors.

Partners with religious leaders, traditional authorities, and county health systems to reduce stigma and improve access to health services for men, including increasing men's uptake of HIV testing and treatment services.

Participates in multiple national and county-level technical working groups, including those convened by the National Gender and Equality Commission, the National AIDS Control Council, and the Ministry of Public Service, Youth and Gender Affairs.

Promotes fatherhood engagement in health, education, and emotional wellbeing to support child development and family stability, including active and nurturing fatherhood, early childhood development, responsive caregiving, and building homes rooted in equality and respect.

Engages men in discussions on sexual and reproductive health in churches, mosques, and community halls across Kenya, promoting informed and equitable participation in family planning, maternal health, and reproductive decision-making.
