Women's Leadership & Empowerment Programs 3 activities
- Grantmaking for Women's and Girls' EmpowermentProvides grants ranging from $8,000 to $15,000, with multi-year funding options, to organizations and initiatives that empower women and girls to achieve sustainable social change by redefining issues, enhancing community engagement, shifting policies, or preserving gains in gender equality. Two-thirds of grants support multi-year projects.
- Leadership Development for Women and GirlsDevelops and supports the next generation of leaders in social change for women and girls through its Visionary Leadership Fund.
- Mission-Aligned Impact InvestingInvests its endowment and other assets to align with its mission of gender and racial equity, beyond traditional grantmaking. This includes divesting from non-aligned investments, prioritizing impact investments, allocating 20% of its endowment to community investments in the Greater Philadelphia area, and utilizing diverse investment managers including BIPOC-owned firms. Specific investments include low-interest loans, convertible notes, and early-stage equity investments in organizations promoting social impact, as well as public equity investments in funds focused on gender diversity and social justice.
