AFRICAN DEVELOPMENT AND EMERGENCY ORGANIZATION

Provides comprehensive primary health care services with a focus on maternal health, disease prevention, immunizations, and outpatient care through community clinics and mobile units, targeting refugees and vulnerable populations in East Africa.

Operates development and humanitarian programs across five countries in East Africa, with established organizational presence supporting sustained service delivery.

Constructs classrooms and science labs, distributes textbooks, solar lamps, and sanitary kits, and implements distance education programs to improve access to quality education in marginalized areas.

Provides community-based care, education support, and psychosocial services for orphans and vulnerable children to improve well-being and social inclusion.

Implements teacher training programs and pedagogical development initiatives to enhance education quality, including Training of Trainers (ToT) models and behavior change monitoring in education settings.

Develops clean water infrastructure—including boreholes, water pans, and piped schemes—and constructs sanitation blocks in schools and marketplaces. Leads Community-Led Total Sanitation (CLTS) campaigns to eliminate open defecation and reduce waterborne diseases.

Addresses gender inequality through literacy programs, leadership training, and economic empowerment initiatives focused on women.

Provides technical and vocational education (TVET), skills training, and micro-finance linkages to promote youth self-employment and improve household livelihoods and food security.

Supports long-term recovery by helping communities rebuild assets and strengthen resilience against future shocks in protracted crisis contexts.
