DRUG ABUSE ADDICTION COUNSELING INTERNATIONAL (DAAC INTERNATIONAL)

Implements community-based peer-led interventions by training youth as Peer Educators to deliver early drug use prevention education to vulnerable adolescents and provides referrals to counseling, treatment, and rehabilitation services.

Operates Outreach and Drop-in Centres in identified districts to conduct community outreach, screening, assessment, and counseling for youth dependent on drugs, with referral and linkage to treatment and rehabilitation services.

Conducts preventive education and awareness programs targeting vulnerable and at-risk groups in neighborhoods, schools, workplaces, and slums to inform communities about addiction impacts and the need for professional treatment.

Provides information and resources to adult role models including parents, teachers, and community leaders to support youth drug abuse prevention.

Establishes and supports de-addiction centers in government hospitals, medical colleges, prisons, juvenile homes, and operates residential stabilization programs as Model Rehabilitation Centres.

Provides skill development, vocational training, and livelihood support to ex-drug addicts to promote employment, purpose, and self-esteem as part of rehabilitation.

Advocates for improved treatment for teens with substance use issues in Kenya.

Provides support through rehabilitation centers, health camp services, feeding programs, shelter, children's homes, education support, and start-up capital for empowerment.
