PEACE PROMOTERS FORUM

Leads an Academic Advisory Committee responsible for setting annual themes and programming for the International Forum for Peace, Security & Prosperity, and for guiding educational content, learning activities, and student contest criteria.

Convenes high school and university students, military cadets, academics, military professionals, peace officers, policymakers, and community leaders annually in a hybrid format to examine the conditions for peaceful, secure, and prosperous societies. The forum includes expert panels, workshops, poster exhibitions, and field activities such as the Walk for Remembrance & Peace, with in-person participation from military colleges and schools across dozens of countries.

Hosts an annual competition for high school students in Grades 10–12 from NATO/EU member countries and other liberal constitutional democracies, featuring defined submission deadlines, finalist announcements, and winner recognition during the in-person forum in Palermo. The contest was promoted to 11,000 Canadian high schools and over a dozen EU member states in 2021 and 2022.

Hosts an annual academic poster exhibition at the international forum where students present original research on global security challenges. Submissions are evaluated by an international academic panel and forum participants, with finalists invited to deliver oral presentations and engage in discussion.

Provides teachers with lesson plans and facilitation tools aligned with the United Nations International Day of Peace to prepare students for engagement with forum topics.

Conducts specialized workshops for military personnel and cadets on character-based emotional intelligence (using the CBEI Framework) and countering human trafficking in multicultural contexts. These workshops focus on enhancing leadership effectiveness, adaptability, resilience, ethical response, and cultural sensitivity in complex operational environments.
