New here? — what "activity" and "activity group" mean

Activity: A specific thing an organization does. Example: "runs a food pantry serving southeast Tucson." One org typically has 5–30 activities.
Activity group: A bundle of similar activities across many orgs that read as the same kind of work. Example: the activity group "Emergency Food Distribution" bundles the food-pantry activities from hundreds of different orgs.
Nested groups: Activity groups can contain other activity groups — broader groups bundle more specific ones. The sunburst's three rings are three levels of that nesting, outside-in: most specific on the outer ring, broadest in the center.
